The books pictured to the right were authored by Mrs. Neal and are out of print. They may be found in church or public libraries. The book, The Reluctant Healer: One Woman's Journey of Faith, compiled and edited by Anne Cassel is an anthology of her seven books on healing which reflect her journey from being a skeptic to becoming a true believer in Jesus Christ and His Healing Gifts.
"Emily Gardiner Neal was a skeptic. A journalist to the core. Strongly affected by witnessing a healing service, she felt compelled to talk with those who were healed, as well as with their pastors, their families, and physicians. In the process she began to honestly face her own apprehensions and discover the healing power of God.
Was she reluctant? Oh, yes! As a professional writer for national publications she was respected for her objectivity. With a good reporter's sense of fairness, she did investigate.
Was she a healer? As her story unfolds each reader can decide. Emily taught that God's healing power can transform any form of human brokenness." Taken from the Editor's preface of The Reluctant Healer by Anne Cassel, editor.
